Red Salute to Palestinian Liberation Forces and the People!
The Pakistan Kissan Mazdoor Tehreek (PKMT) declares its absolute support and solidarity with Palestinian resistance in the battle “Toofan al-Aqsa” in their resistance and struggle for liberation of their land and people. We strongly oppose and condemn the US-backed Israeli aggression, barbarism, and illegal occupation of Palestinian land, the expulsion of millions of Palestinians, the brutal atrocities committed against them, their massacres and genocide. It is shameful that countries of the world, which advocate human rights and democracy are sitting as silent on the aggressive advance of Israel at the behest of the United States; they seem to be blind and deaf to the violence enacted by the Israeli Occupation Forces, including sexual violence, deliberate killing of children, destruction of means of livelihood and polluting water sources. For decades, the people of Gaza have been imprisoned in an “open prison” and their every human right is being violated.
Since 1948, Zionist Israel with full backing of colonial masters of Britain and the US has occupied Palestine, inflicting terrible aggression on the region through numerous wars and political turmoil. Israel is a threat to world peace, no doubt based on the humongous military and economic aid being given by the US. Prior to the British mandate, the Jewish population was only 6% of Palestine’s population. Between 1947 and 1950, Zionist troops expelled more than 750,000 Palestinians. It occupied 78 percent of historic Palestine and divided the remaining 22 percent into the West Bank and Gaza. Between 2008 and 2021, 5,739 Palestinians were martyred in various conflicts, including 1,255 (22%) Palestinian children and 565 (10%) Palestinian women, while the number of Israelis is only 251.
So far, 754 resolutions have been passed in the United Nations, 97 resolutions have been passed in the Security Council and 96 resolutions have been passed in the United Nations Human Rights Council. In total, these 947 resolutions over the past 75 years do not appear to be more than a piece of paper as Israel is backed by the most powerful imperialist nation, the United States. In view of this situation, other countries, including the Western world, are calling the Palestinian War of Independence terrorism and are turning a blind eye to Israel’s aggression. According to a March 2023 report, since 1948, the United States has provided about $ 260 billion in aid to Israel, while from 2019 to 2028, the United States has announced $ 40 billion in military aid to Israel. In these circumstances, the latest actions of Palestinian liberation fighters has shown that oppression and aggression cannot break people’s will fighting for national liberation.
The Pakistan Kissan Mazdoor Tehreek salutes the Palestinian people, especially the farmers, for their courage, and perseverance. We join the people of the world who city to city, village to village, country to country and continent to continent have stood up against Israeli aggression and the US military support that has been dispatched for the help of Zionist Israel, in support of the people of Palestine.
